Kadikoy is one of the districts located on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. Located in the southwestern part of the Kocaeli Peninsula, Kadikoy is surrounded by the Marmara Sea in the west and south, Üsküdar in the northwest, Ataşehir in the northeast and Maltepe in the east.
Its area is 25.20 km². Its population is 482,571. Kadikoy district has an important position in terms of urban transportation. Some of the main access roads connecting various districts of Istanbul pass through Kadikoy District.
It was ranked 2nd among all districts in the “Quality of Life Survey in Istanbul” conducted in 2015. There are also structures from the Ottoman period in Kadikoy. However, Kadikoy, one of the oldest settlements on the Anatolian Side, is still the busiest spot on the side today.
